Danmarks Kommunevåbener Danish Civic Heraldry NAKSKOV Region : Sjælland Amt (until 2007) : Storstrøm (until 1970 Maribo) Additions : 1970 Branderslev Incorporated into : 2007 Lolland Origin/meaning: The arms were registered in 1996. The arms are based on the oldest seal of the city, which is known from 1351, but the style indicates an origin around 1300. The arms show a canting tree (skov=forest).
