Origin/meaning :
The wavy bar symbolises the St. Maurice river in the town. The bolt of lightning on the bar symbolises the hydro-electric power plant in La Tuque. The two pine trees in the uppe rhalf are a symbol for the importance of forestery. The bonnet in the base is a canting element, it is a 'tuque' in French.
