Origin/meaning:
The arms were officially adopted on ??

The arms show the hydro-power dam and lake in the Neretva river, surrounded by local decorantion in the chief and a stylised broken bridge in the base. The dam was built in 1955. The bridge pictured was destroyed in 1943 by Tito's partisans during the German "Fourth offensive". In the retreat Tito ordered destroying all bridges over the Neretva, and the partisan forces were pulled out over an improvised bridge at Jablanica.
