Origin/meaning: The arms show the cross on a mountain near Međugorje, a well-known place of pilgrimage that is situated in the south of the community. The madder plant (Rubia trinctorum) called in Croatian broć is canting for the ancient name of Čitluk, Brotnjo, that is today preserved as the name of the plateau on which the community is situated.
