Origin/meaning: The arms are composed of six elements: the fortified crowd is a symbol of defense, the honeycomb a symbol of sedulity of the local people, the crescent and star are symbols of Islam and Bosniak people, the flower with two rows of twelve petals, symbolising the twelve settlements in the municipality and twelve genocides over the local people through history. The inner row of petals is red and the outer is green, except for the one petal that is chequy, designating the Croatian population living there.
