Belgische Gemeentewapens - Armories communales de Belgique Belgian Civic Heraldry SINT JORIS WINGE Province : Vlaams-Brabant Incorporated into : 1976 Tielt-Winge Origin/meaning : The arms were granted on March 30, 1839 and show the local patron saint, St. George killing the dragon. The arms were supposedly granted by Emperor Charles V in the early 16th century, but no proof thereof exists. The local seals, however, since the 16th century show the saint.
