Origin/meaning : The new arms were granted after the merger with the other municipalities. The first quarter shows the old arms of Holsbeek, the third the old arms of Nieuwrode. The second and fourth quarter represent Kortrijk-Dutsel (St. Martin, the patron saint of the village) and Sint Pieters Rode (St. Peter, the patron saint of the village).
