ZRENJANIN (Зрењанин)

District : Central Banat

center

Origin/meaning

The colour of the arms is green, the colour of Vojvodina and the Panonia valley. The bottom shows the Begej river that flows through the town, with the big bridge, designed in the 19th century by Eiffel. The main figure is shaped like a sunflower, as the region is the largest producer of sunflower oil in the country. The four symbols show history (castle), good sunny climate, industry and a cornucopia for the richness of the land.
