The arms of the city (German name Münsterberg ) show three towers on a hill, with a star and crescent. The towers can be canting in German (M&uuml;nsterberg means mountain with a monastery). The eagle in the small gate is the eagle of Silezia.

The towers are already seen on the 13<sup>th</sup> century seals of the city, but the eagle only appeared in the 15<sup>th</sup> century. Ever since the city has used the same composition. During the years the size, shape and colours have varied, as seen in the images below:
