Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1950, but have been used for a much longer time.

The arms show the figure of St. Lawrence, the local patron saint. The arms are based on the oldest known seal of the village, which is known since 1757, but probably replaced an older seal. The colours of the shield are derived from the colours of Bayern.
