"In sinopel zeven zespuntige sterren van goud, geplaatst, 1, 2, 1, 2 en 1, en een doorsneden schildhoofd, boven van azuur, onder van goud. Het schild gedekt met een gouden kroon van drie bladeren en twee paarlen."
Oorsprong/verklaring:
De sterren zijn afkomstig uit het wapen van Ferwerderadeel, het schildhoofd is het symbool voor een zeewerend waterschap.
