Origin/meaning
The arms of the city (German name Seidenberg) were granted on July 18, 1904.
The arms show the archangel St. Michael behind a wall. St. Michael is the patron saint of the city, and the composition already dates from medieval times. On the wall is a small shield with the arms of the Lords of Biberstein, first lords of Zawidow.
