Arms of Złoty Stok

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on February 17, 1491 by Duke Heinrich von Münsterberg to the city. The double bi-coloured eagle is the arms of the Münsterberg Duchy. The escutcheon is the arms of the Duke himself. The miner's tools behind the eagle indicate the importance of mining for the town. Hupp showed the same image, but with some small differences on the eagle.
