YABUCOA
Territory : Puerto Rico
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
Yabucoa has the Holy Angels Guards as patron saint. The shield has two angels and represent the immense multitude of them. The colour purple& represents the highest dignity of the angels. The canes are attributes of the travellers, and allude to the role of the Angels Guards as guides and companions of the man. Each cane has a guajana flower, representing the wealth of the sugar cane. The green land symbolizes the fertile valley in which Yabucoa is.
