ARMS: Argent, a Windhoek aloe (Aloe rubrolutea) with a raceme of three flowers on an island, proper
CREST: A mural crown Or
MOTTO: SUUM CUIQUE (To every man his own).

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on 2 October 1966, with a stylized aloe, and changed on 15 September 1972 with a natural aloe.

Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, was founded in 1890 as Winterhoek and renamed in 1920. The arms show the typical Windhoek aloe (Aloe rubrolutea).
