The local seals in the 15th and 16<sup>th</sup> century all showed the arms of the Hohenberg family, divided of silver and red. In the late 16<sup>th</sup> century the letter W was added to distinguish the arms from the arms of the family. The deer antler of Württemberg in the upper half of the arms first appeared in 1612.
