WIEN-SANKT ULRICH

State : Wien (Vienna)

Wappen von Wien-St. Ulrich/Arms (crest) of Wien-St. Ulrich
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms show St Ulrich of Augsburg as a bishop holding a golden fish. He is the patron saint of the parish bearing his name that covers the area of Zeismannsbrunn, the oldest documented suburb of Vienna (1202). However, since the early 14th century, the name of the patron is used to designate the whole Zeismannsbrunn area.
