WIEN-SIEVERING
State : Wien (Vienna)
Origin/meaning
The arms show St Severin, the patron saint of the parish, in the dress of a priest. The name is first documented 1144 as "Sufringen" and "Suueringan" and indicates a settlement belonging to someone by the name of "Sufr" or "Sufro".
