WIEN-NEUBAU

State : Wien (Vienna)

Wappen von Wien-Neubau

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms of Neubau show a golden cross over a half moon, a design probably going back to the victory over the Turkish sieges. The name of the settlement is derived from the new constructions created on grounds belonging to "Oberhof" (or "St-Ulrichs-Hof).
