Origin/meaning

The arms show a figure of St Leopold (Liupold III of Babenberg), the patron saint of Vienna, with the traditional attributes of a ducal crown, a church model in the right and the flag of Niederösterreich (five golden eagles in blue) in the left. Leopold is the patron saint of Leopoldstadt parish church.
