WIEN-HIETZING
State : Wien (Vienna)
Origin/meaning :
The arms show a tree charged with the figure of Our Lady bearing her Son in a golden mandorla. The tree is surrounded by praying folk. The charge is based on a local legend dealing with 1529, when the Turks first laid siege to Vienna.
The region is now part of the 13th municipal district bearing the same name.
