Official blazon
- (de) In Blau zwei aufgerichtete, gegeneinander gekrümmte silberne Fische, zwischen ihnen schwebend ein siebenstrahliger goldener Stern.
Origin/meaning
The arms have been used since the 19th century. The old seals of the city, known since the 13th century, however, already showed a fish, but the combination of the two fish and the star dates from the 19th century. The two fish symbolise the Ober- and Niedersee lakes. The golden star symbolises the Runneburg in the municipality.
