Wappen von Wartenberg (Geisingen)/Arms (crest) of Wartenberg (Geisingen)
Official blazon
German In Silber ein roter Löwe.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were designed and adopted in 1903.

The small village used in the 19th century a seal with the local castle, built in 1780. The State Archives, however, did not base their design on this seal, but proposed the arms of the 13th century Lords of Wartenberg, who built the original castle around 1200 and lived there until 1321. The municipality accepted this, but kept using the old composition on its seal. Only in 1926 the municipality started the use of the arms.
