WAMBERCOURT

Département : Pas-de-Calais

Blason de Wambercourt/Arms (crest) of Wambercourt
Official blazon
French blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were proposed in 1996, I have no information whether the arms are actually adopted by the municipality.

The arms are based on those of the Boubers-Abbeville family, Lords of Wambercourt until the 15th century and those of their successors, the Créquy family. The first family used in silver three red shields, the latter in red a minimalised tree, a canting element (such a tree is called a créquier in French. These two arms were combined in the above proposal.
