WALDBÖCKELHEIM

State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Bad Kreuznach
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Rüdesheim

Wappen von Waldböckelheim

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1950 and are based on the seal from 1636. The wheel is the wheel of the State of Mainz, as the village belonged from 1279-1471 to Mainz. The acorns and trees symbolise the many forests in the area and are also canting symbols (Wald=woods). In the 18th century the seal was replaced by a new seal showing the lion of the Pfalz, holding an oak leaf in his front paw.
