VIKTORSBERG

State : Vorarlberg
District : Feldkirch

Viktorsberg.jpg

Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on December 9, 1970.

The trefoil is used as a symbol for Ireland. The village was founded by Irish missionaries, who devoted the church to St. Eusebius, who was from Irish-Scottish descent. For a long time there has been a Scottish monastery (Schottenkonvent) in the village.

The base shows the local Minoritenkloster abbey, which also has been of great importance for the development of the village.

Literature : Burmeister, 1975
