Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms are used by the island council with a naval crown.

The waves and green diamond symbolise the island in the sea. The tower symbolises the historical lighthouse on the island, and is at the same time the main symbol for Castille, one of the former Kingdoms in Spain.
