Escudo de ouro, um sobreiro à dextra, arrancado e frutado de verde e uma gavela de espigas de trigo do mesmo, à sinistra, alinhados em faixa, acompanhados em chefe por um livro aberto de prata, encadernado de vermelho e, em ponta, por uma bilha de vermelho. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro : " FREGUESIA DE VIANA DO ALENTEJO ".

The arms were officially granted on July 18, 1997.
