Official blazon
Arms: Vert, an elephant's head caboshed Or, tusked Argent, the whole within a bordure Or.
Crest: A Venda tribal drum proper.
Supporters: Two elephants proper.
Motto: SHUMELA VENDA
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 8, 1972 and augmented with supporters on Septemer 13, 1979.
The elephant is the symbol of power, whereas the local drum symbolises the unity of the people. It is used by the chief to summon his people when receiving important messages. The motto means Aspire always for Venda.
