Official blazon

Sinisessä kentässä alainen, aaltokoroinen hopeahirsi, josta oikealle kaartuva kultainen kalanpyrstö.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 8, 1951.

The arms refer to the Vantaa river, which flows through the town, and originally it was an important source of salmon fishing, indicated by the salmon tail in the arms.
