TIETE AND SYTZE VAN DER LAARS

A page devoted to the heraldic artists, Tiete (1861-1939) and his son Sytze van der Laars (1891-1938).

Father and son had a heraldic atelier in Hilversum, the Netherlands. even though they have been working there for many years, very few material of their work is left.

Tiete's most famous work is the book 'Wapens, vlaggen en zegels van Nederland', issued in 1913, reprinted by Koffie Hag in 1933 and as a facsimile in 1989.

Sytze is most famous for his work on the Koffie Hag albums. He designed and made all images for the Dutch and Belgian albums, but also the cover for the Polish album.
