Escudo de Valenzuela

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms refer to the Fernández de Córdoba family, lords of the village in the 15th and early 16th century. The upper half shows the traditional family arms, the base shows the capture of the king Boabdil (Muhammad XII the last Sultan of Granada) by Diego Fernández de Córdoba in 1483.
