UBARANA

State : São Paulo

Ubarana.jpg

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 23, 1993.

The keys are the attribute of St. Peter, patron saint of the city and the diamonds, having the shape of female shields, evoke the founder of the village: Maxima Angelica de Oliveira; the chevron represents the roof of the first building, where passers by looked for protection against wild animals.

The supporters show that corn and orange are important agricultural products of the region.

The shield is surmounted by a mural crown appropriate to a city and a scroll below the shield bears the name of the city
