The wall of pointed logs is canting: “tverai” meant “paled place” in old Lithuanian. The red colour symbolizes blood spilled for defence, and spearheads refer to the important centre of defense: 13th century Tverai was the capital of Samogitian duke Vykintas. | |||

Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 12, 2008.
The wall of pointed logs is canting: “tverai” meant “paled place” in old Lithuanian. The red colour symbolizes blood spilled for defence, and spearheads refer to the important centre of defense: 13th century Tverai was the capital of Samogitian duke Vykintas.
