Selected collector's items from Germany:

TROSTBERG

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Traunstein
Additions : 1971 Lindach; 1978 Heiligkreuz, Oberfeldkirchen

Wappen von Trostberg

Official blazon

  • (de) In Blau auf grünem Dreiberg drei einzelstehende silberne Türme mit offenen Toren; der mittlere hat über Zinnen rotes Spitzdach, der rechte rotes Satteldach, der linke rotes Spitzdach.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1918.

The oldest seal of the city dates from the early 14th century and already shows the three towers on a hill. The towers symbolise the local castle as well as the two towers in the city itself. The arms have not changed since, except for some variations in the size and shape of the towers. The arms were officially granted in 1918 and the colours were for the first time officially described.
