Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 3, 1993.

The bridge is a canting element, the name Triana supposedly means bridge. The rose and crescent are the symbols of Our Lady of Conception, the local patron saint. The dog is taken from the arms of the city of Alenquer.

The meaning of the crowns I do not know.
