TOPFSTEDT

State : Thüringen
District (Kreis) : Kyffhäuserkreis

Wappen von Topfstedt/Arms (crest) of Topfstedt
Official blazon
German

Geteilt von Rot und Silber; belegt mit je einer querliegenden Wolfsangel in verwechselten Tinkturen.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 30, 1987.

The hook, a so-called wolf's hook, is derived from the arms of the medieval Lords of Topfstedt. The colours are taken from the colours of the Thüringen State. The two hooks also symbolise the two villages in the municipality, Nieder- and Obertopfstedt.
