(de) In Rot das silberne holsteinische Nesselblatt; diesem aufgelegt ein schwarzer Schild mit einem silbernen Balken, der mit drei roten Rosen mit goldenen Butzen und goldenen Kelchblättern belegt ist.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 4, 1936 and reconfirmed on June 7, 1974.

The arms show the nettle-leaf of the arms of Holstein, with the arms of the Counts of Holmer, who in the 18th and 19^th century ruled Tangstedt. The three roses also symbolise the three former municipalities.
