Origin/meaning

The arms show a chief of Bourgogne, the region in which the village is situated. The base shows the tower of the local castle dating from the 14th century, oak leaves to symbolise the local forests, and some wavy bars for the rivers and streams in the municipality. The lion is taken from the arms of the Lords of Pontailler, last lords of the village.
