TÂRNĂVENI
District/county (județ) : Mureș
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 22, 2003.
The lion and the scales refer to the heraldic tradition, to the symbol of the former Târnava-Mică county, with the residence in Târnăveni.
The scales are also a representative element, showing the way in which the municipal council wants to manage the city's problems, with a lot of balance and fair judgment.
The mural crown with five crenellated towers shows that the locality has the status of a municipality.
