These arms are derived from the arms of the Lubicz clan. According to legend, one of the members founded the village in the fifteenth century.
These arms show a scene depicting the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and it is derived from the fact that this little town in eastern Poland was built around the Orthodox Monastery of Annunciation, established around 1500.
