Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 12, 1988.
The present municipality of Steinfort was partly owned by the Lords of Septfontaines, who used a anchored cross as their arms. The other part belonged to the Eisch valley and was known as the Valley of the seven castles. These two elements are combined in the arms. The castle with seven towers represent the name of the valley, and is also a canting symbol on its own (Steinfort=stone fortress). The river Eisch is shoen in the base of the arms. The crosses in the upper corners are taken from the arms of Septfontaines.
