STEGLITZ

State : Berlin
Incorporated into : 1920 Berlin

Steglitz.jpg

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on in 1887 and again on April 12, 1956.

The arms are a combination of the bars derived from the Lords of Stegelitz, and the Imperial eagle, as the original arms were granted in 1887 by Emperor Wilhelm I.

In 1187 the arms were granted with the typical mural crown of the time. After the Second World War, as with all arms of the Berlin districts, a mural crown with a small shield with the arms of Berlin could be used.
