Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The tower is the tower of the local church, the main landmark of the village. The colours are those of the Dukes of Braunschweig, as these had much influence in the village and on the local church. The trefoils are a symbol of agriculture, and were also used in the arms of the medieval Lords of Siedenburg. The base shows one of the bear claws of the Counts of Hoya, as the area historically was part of the County Hoya.
