Background

This organisation, Délmagyarországi Magyar Közművelődési Egyesület or South Hungarian Hungarian Cultural Association was a cultural association, based in Szeged to promote the Hungarian culture in the Southern part of the country (at that time part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire). The organisation issued some stamps, see below, with the Hungarian arms.
