Official blazon

I sølv et svart skarvehode.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 27, 1987.

The arms are partly canting, skarf is a cormorant. The cormorant also symbolises the coastal municipality, which, as the bird, is dependent on fishing for its living. It is also a common bird in the area.
