Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1943.

The green hill, moon and star symbolise the Himmelbjerget ("mountain of heaven"), Denmarks highest point, which is in the Amt. The three acorns refer to the forests in the area and are taken from the old seal of the Tyrsting Herred.
