I grønt tre oppflygande sølv ryper, 2 – 1.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 17, 1986.

The arms show three ptarmigan as a symbol for the hills and moors, which make up the largest part of the municipality. The ptarmigan is a typical bird for the area.
