SHAMVA

Province : Mashonaland Central

Arms of Shamva

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The wavy bars represent agriculture and irrigation, as do the five drops of water on the green bars. The leopards face symbolises the gold mining, the leopard being the hallmark for gold objects. The red band with the optical illusion of white points represents maize silos and is taken from the arms of the Duke of Abercorn.
