Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 22, 2002.

The wavy line refers to the letter S of both the Semeliskes town and the Streva river. The bell refers to the oldest bell of local church, dated from the early 15th century. The Gothic ornament refers to the ages both of the bell and of the town (first time mentioned in 1375).
